| 1. Do I have
to be a member of Findafurry to upload an advert?
Yes. Messages to advertisers are sent through the
website so we don't give out anyone's email address.
It also means we can investigate any advertiser
who doesn't appear to be honouring The
Findafurry code. Registering is quick and simple
and we will not give out your email address to anyone.
2. Do I have to be a member
of Findafurry to contact an advertiser?
No. If you want to give a home to a furry advertised
on the site, you don't have to be a member. Simply
follow the link at the bottom of the advert to contact
the advertiser. Your message will be sent to the
advertiser and they will be able to reply directly
to your email address.
3. I've uploaded an advert but
it isn't appearing on the adverts page. Why?
All adverts must be approved by the Findafurry
team before they will appear on the site. This is
to ensure that all adverts are suitable and allows
us to make sure that advertisers are following The
Findafurry code.
4. My advert has expired, what
can I do?
Adverts on Findafurry will expire after 4 weeks.
If the furry hasn't yet been rehomed you can extend
your advert by three weeks. Simply find the advert
on your 'myfindafurry' page and click the link to
extend the advert.
5. You've rejected my advert,
what should I do?
If your advert has been rejected, it is probably
because we would like you to give more information
about the animal. Whatever the reason, we will send
you an email explaining why it has been rejected.
You can then re-submit the advert, making any changes
that we have suggested.
6. I am a regular breeder, can
I upload adverts?
Regular breeders should operate waiting lists for
finding homes for furries. You can register as a
regular breeder on Findafurry so that you appear
on our breeders list.
Findafurry adverts should not generally be used
for advertising furries from planned litters and
we will monitor how regularly you advertise. However,
we do realise that sometimes you may need to due
to reasons beyond your control. If this is the case,
please indicate this on your advert.
7. I want to rehome an animal
but that type of animal isn't listed on Findafurry.
Findafurry is starting small so we can provide
as much information and monitoring of adverts as
possible. Over time we may expand the site to include
other animal types. If you have an animal that isn't
listed here, the best thing to do is get in touch
with an animal society or rescue organisation that
may be able to help you.
